Prosthodontics

Prosthodontics is a dental specialty recognized by the American Dental Association. It is the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the mouth. It helps comfort, appearance, and oral health of patients with conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues.

I can complete any of the below treatments. I plan and perform the necessary procedures to restore the mouth to functional health. Implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and veneers are all a part of what a prosthodontist can do to help make your smile look and feel great.

Prosthodontic Procedures Include:
  • Maxillofacial Prosthodontics- Maxillofacial Prosthodontic's restores appearance and the look of your smile. It is the planning, treatment, rehab, and ongoing maintenance for oral comfort and health using bio-compatible substitutes.

  • Procera Implant Bridge- Is also known as an endogenous implant or fixture. The bridge interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental work such as a crown, bridge, or denture.

  • Full Mouth Reconstruction- Full mouth reconstruction involves general or restorative dentists (performing procedures like crowns, bridges and implants), and can incorporate dental specialists like periodontists. The need for full mouth reconstruction may result from: Teeth that have been lost due to decay or injury. Teeth that have been fractured. Teeth that have become worn as a result of long-term acid erosion or tooth

  • Swiss Precision Dentures - Are also know as false teeth. They are prosthetic teeth designed to replace missing teeth. Some require bonding and others clasping to secure them in the mouth.

  • Porcelain Veneers - Is material placed over the tooth. It can protect the tooth's surface from damage. The two different types are composite and dental porcelain.

  • Crowns (Caps) - Is a process witch completely caps the tooth. Caps are needed when large cavity's are causing damage to the tooth.

  • Dental Implants - This is a modern process typically know as osseointegration. It is a process where bone fuses very tight to specific materials such as titanium and or ceramics.

  • Dentures and Partial Dentures - Is a replacement of the teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons and who cannot have a bridge due to fractal limitations.

  • Fixed Bridges - Is used to replace a missing tooth by joining teeth permanently to other teeth or by a dental implant.
